At Teelba State School we follow the Australian Curriculum for all subjects.  We teach English, Maths, Science, HASS, The Arts, Health & Physical Education, Technologies and languages.

In 2025 the school adopted Auslan as its language of choice.  Students in Kindy to Year 4 are exposed to the language, with students in Year 5&6 explicitly taught and assessed.

At our kindergarten, we use the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) to support each child’s learning, development, and wellbeing. The QKLG outlines five key learning and development areas—Identity, Connectedness, Wellbeing, Active Learning, and Communicating, which describe the significant learning that teachers and educators promote during the kindergarten year.
